Tournament Golf Foundation (TGF), the organizers of the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International Presented by Mirassou Winery, today announced that tickets for the tournament are now available at Phoenix-area Walgreens and online at www.PhoenixLPGA.com.
“LPGA golf has been one of the great values in family entertainment for years,” said Tom Maletis, President of Tournament Golf Foundation. “That tradition continues in this difficult economy with the standard daily ticket price remaining at $20. We also offer great advance purchase discounts at Walgreens and the tournament website, www.PhoenixLPGA.com.”
Daily tickets purchased at the Papago Golf Course gate during the March 26-29 tournament are $20 each, and weekly tickets are $75. In a promotion with Walgreens Corner Box Office, daily tickets can be purchased at a 20% discount or $16 each at any of the 175 Walgreens stores in the Phoenix area. The 20% discount is also available at PhoenixLPGA.com, where fans can purchase and print tickets in the convenience of their homes. Details are available on the website.
Additionally, the Kids in Free policy will continue in 2009. All fans 15 years old and under will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
All active-duty military members, police officers and firefighters receive complimentary grounds admission Wednesday – Sunday when valid active-duty ID is shown at the Papago Golf Course entrance gate.
General spectator parking with short shuttles to the golf course will again be free. The primary spectator parking lot will be located just north of Loop 202 between the Priest Drive and Centre Parkway exits. Spectators will be shuttled and will enter the course near the intersection of 56th Street and Van Buren Street.
Spectators are also encouraged to use the new Metro light rail system, which has a station at Washington Boulevard and Priest Drive, less than a mile from the tournament main entrance. Trains run every 10 minutes during peak hours. There are eight park-and-rides on the Metro line with free parking. For a list of locations and other details, visit MetroLightRail.org.
