Limited Edition Bracelets Raise Funds for Phoenix Children’s Hospital

LOS ANGELES – The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® and Phoenix Children’s Hospital announce their partnership today for a customized bracelet promotion with 100 percent of all net proceeds benefiting the hospital. Starting Feb. 25, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will sell branded Phoenix Children’s Hospital bracelets to consumers for $1. The limited-edition bracelets will be available while supplies last. During this two-month period, customers wearing the bracelet will receive 10 percent off all purchases at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, excluding already discounted items.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf‘s impetus to get involved with the Phoenix Children’s Hospital began after a local community member’s son was diagnosed with cancer and received outstanding care from the hospital. While undergoing chemotherapy at PCH, one of the few drinks he could hold down was an Ice Blended® drink.  He would visit his local Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with his mother regularly, which provided local store members an opportunity to get to know him and learn about the progression of his treatment. When presented with the opportunity to select a local charity to support, store members unanimously nominated the hospital after witnessing the young boy’s amazing recovery.

“Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s mission of providing children with the best healthcare is revered by the local community and by all of us at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,” stated Mel Elias, president, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. “We are honored to partner with such a dedicated organization that continuously inspires hope in children, our customers, and in our company,” Elias said.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital has provided hope, healing and the best healthcare for children and families for more than 25 years.  Today, Phoenix Children’s Hospital is one of the 10 largest children’s hospitals in the country and provides specialty and sub-specialty inpatient, outpatient and emergency care to patients throughout Arizona and other Southwestern states.

About Phoenix Children’s Hospital
Phoenix Children’s Hospital is Arizona’s only licensed children’s hospital, providing world-class care in more than 40 pediatric specialties to our state’s sickest kids. Though Phoenix Children’s is one of the ten largest freestanding children’s hospitals in the country, rapid population growth in Arizona means the Hospital must grow as well. Phoenix Children’s recently announced a $588 million expansion plan to bring its special brand of family-centered care to even more patients and families. The plan includes a significant upgrade of the Hospital’s current campus, an aggressive physician recruitment effort, and new satellite centers in high growth areas of the Valley.
