Randy Pullen elected Treasurer of RNC
Arizona State Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen was recently re-elected to his second term as State Party Chairman. At the same time he was campaigning for election as Treasurer of the Republican National Committee (RNC.) On January 30, 2009 in Washington D. C., Randy Pullen was elected treasurer of the Republican National Committee by a vote of 87-74 over Louis Pope of Maryland.
Sharon Day of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was elected Secretary of the GOP RNC. Florida’s National Committeewoman Sharon Day is an active participant in social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter and will bring a fresh focus on newer communication channels and mechanisms.
Maryland Lt. Governor Michael Steele was elected RNC Chairman in a series of six ballots, finally winning by a vote of 91 to 77. Michael Steele is the first African-American leader of the RNC. Jan Larimer was elected as Co-Chair.
