2009 offers even more fun at the wave pool with scheduled theme days
TEMPE, Ariz. – Kiwanis Recreation Center’s Wave Pool Theme Days are set to honor achievements in a fun and special way. Theme Days honor organizations, good students, good parents, and people serving our country. We will be celebrating birthdays along with FM 89.9 Air 1 Radio The Positive Alternative. Check out the list below and join us for Wave Pool Theme Days in 2009.
Theme Days promotions are from 1-3pm, and the wave pool hours are 1-5pm. Regular admission to the wave pool is $6 (13+ years) and $3 (2-12 years). Children under the age of 8 must have an adult with them at all times while in the water. Kiwanis Recreation Center is located at 6111 South All America Way, Tempe, AZ 85283. Opening Day 2009 Season: March 7, 2009 1-5pm.
Spring Break Waves: March 9-14, 2009 1-5pm daily.
Swim-tastic Spring Fun Day: March 14, 2009 1-3pm.
- $15 2 general (13+yrs) and 2 youth admissions (2-12 yrs)
- $15 meal deal 2 hamburgers, 2 hot dogs, 2 nachos, and 4 small fountain drinks
- Listen to FM 105.5 or 89.1 KLOVE radio for a chance to win a prize pack.
- KLOVE will be at the event.
Happy Birthdays Day: March 28, 2009 1-3pm.
FREE wave pool admission with proof of your birthday in March.
Girl Scouts Day: April 18, 2009 1-3pm.
Girl Scouts wear your shirt or uniform and get one FREE admission to the wave pool.
Happy Birthdays Day: April 25, 2009 1-3pm.
FREE wave pool admission with proof of your birthday in April.
Mother’s Day Weekend: May 9-10, 2009 1-3pm.
Mothers get in FREE with their child’s paid admission.
Armed Forces Weekend: May 16-17, 2009 1-3pm.
Show your military ID and get in FREE.
Happy Birthdays Day: May 23, 2009 1-3pm.
FREE wave pool admission with proof of your birthday in May.

Report Card Day: June 6, 2009 1-3pm.
Bring in your last report card and get ½ off! A report card with straight A’s gets you in FREE.
Father’s Day Weekend: June 20-21, 2009 1-3pm.
Fathers get in FREE with their child’s paid admission.
Happy Birthdays Day: June 27, 2009 1-3pm.
