Non-Profit Groups Sought to Take Part in Special Preview Day to Help Benefit Their Causes
Gilbert, Ariz. - Macy’s will celebrate the grand opening of its SanTan Village store March 19-21 and will partner with local non-profits to kick off the grand opening of its newest Gilbert location on March 19 with a “Macy’s Community Shopping Day.” The special preview day will be open to ticket-holders and will help raise money for a variety of non-profits benefiting their several worthy causes.
The store’s public grand opening is set for March 20 followed by a planned weekend of celebrations to welcome the newest anchor to SanTan Village, a super regional shopping center developed and managed by Westcor near Loop 202 and Williams Field Road.
The 120,000-square-foot, one-level Macy’s will offer apparel and accessories for the family, along with selected merchandise for the home. The store will be designed specifically for the open-air shopping center including a new “main street” entrance configuration and an emphasis on natural lighting via skylights and exterior windows.
SanTan Village’s other retailers include Dillard’s, Harkin’s Theaters, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Sephora, White House/Black Market, Coach, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Cantina Laredo, Forever 21, Pumpkin Patch, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and many more. Details: http://www.westcor.com/.
“The addition of Macy’s continues to solidify SanTan Village as the prime fashion destination in Gilbert and surrounding communities,” said Sheila Hunter, SanTan Village, senior property manager. “Macy’s has a rich history spanning 150 years and is a strong community partner.”
The March 19 event will raise money for non-profits by allowing charitable groups to sell $10 tickets to the public for entry into the event. The event will feature exclusive discounts ranging from 10% to 20% off nearly all merchandise along with food, beverages, entertainment, promotional gifts and the chance to win a $500 shopping spree.
Macy’s is currently seeking 501(c)3 non-profit organizations interested in participating in the event. To learn more on becoming a charity participant please call 800.430.9782, ext. 0 or e-mail MacysCSD@hotmail.com. The deadline to contact Macy’s regarding participation is Jan. 23.
