PHOENIX – The Phoenix Animal Care Coalition (PACC911) has teamed up with CineMark Theater to host an animal awareness and adopt-a-thon in conjunction with the opening of the movie, “Hotel for Dogs.” The event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at CineMark Theater at Mesa Riverview Mall located at 1051 N. Dobson Rd. in Mesa.
CineMark in Mesa is the only theater in the country hosting an adoption event in conjunction with the movie premier.
The purpose of the event is to find loving homes and build awareness for animals in need. At the adopt-a-thon, various animal rescue groups will be on-site with animals for adoption, and information on pet care and overpopulation will be available. The adopt-a-thon is free to attend, but donations are welcome. All funds raised go to the Emergency Medical Fund (EMF), which provides financial aid to Valley nonprofit animal welfare groups needing assistance with medical costs – ultimately saving the lives of more animals.
