City of Tempe

Tempe Arizona – In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the City of Tempe AZ will close all administrative offices on Monday, Jan. 19.

Emergency services will be unaffected by the holiday, and residential and commercial recycling/solid waste collection will take place under normal operating hours. Bus and rail services will operate according to regular weekday schedules. The Tempe Transit Store will be closed.

PARKS AND RECREATION
Tempe Beach Park will be open from 5 a.m. to midnight. Tempe Town Lake will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tempe. The Rio Salado Operations Center will be closed. Kiwanis Recreation Center, 6111 S. All-America Way, will be closed (480-350-5201). Kiwanis Park Batting Range will be open from noon to 6 p.m. (480-350-5727). The Jaycee Splash Playground,
715 W. Fifth St., (480-350-5200), the Esquer Park Splash Playground,
2407 E. McArthur Drive, (480-350-5200), Beach Park Splash Playground, Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway, (480-350-8625), the Clark Park Swimming Pool, 1730 S. Roosevelt St. (480-350-5203), and the McClintock Swimming Pool, 1830 E. Del Rio Drive (480-350-5202), are closed for the season.

LIBRARY AND CULTURAL CENTERS
The Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road, will be closed (480-350-5500). The Tempe Historical Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave., will be closed (480-350-5100). The Petersen House Museum, 1414 W. Southern Ave., will be closed (480-350-5151). The Edna Vihel Center for the Arts, 3340 S. Rural Road, will be closed (480-350-5287). The Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, will be closed (480-350-2829).

COMMUNITY CENTERS
The Escalante Multi-Generational Center, 2150 E. Orange St., will be open from noon to 6 p.m. (480-350-5858). The Westside Multi-Generational Center, 715 W. Fifth St., will be open from noon to 6 p.m.
(480-858-2400). The Pyle Adult Recreation Center, 655 E. Southern Ave., will be closed (480-350-5211). The North Tempe Multi-Generational Center, 1555 N. Bridalwreath St., will be open from noon to 6 p.m.
(480-858-6500). The Cahill Senior Center, 715 W. Fifth St., will be closed (480-858-2420).

HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS COLLECTION CENTER
The Household Products Collection Center, 1320 E. University Drive, will be closed (480-858-2223).

GOLF COURSES
Ken McDonald Golf Course, 800 E. Divot Drive, will be open sunrise to sunset (480-350-5250). Rolling Hills Golf Course, 1415 N. Mill Ave., will be open sunrise to sunset (480-350-5275).
