Changing Hands Outdoors – Hiking Arizona
Changing Hands Bookstore is proud to present Changing Hands Outdoors: A series of hiking events each with a unique theme to expand your mind, body and spirit. Each hike includes a sack lunch from the Wildflower Bread Company. You will be asked for a sandwich preference when making your reservation. Sign up is limited, so please call us at 480.730.0205, stop by or email for one or more of these hikes. Once you have registered for a hike, you will receive a confirmation email with directions to the trail head. Ending times vary. Hikes are approximately 4-5 hours.
Hike and Nature Photography

Saturday, January 24, 9am Michael Lundgren, photographer of
Michael Lundgren: Transfigurations, leads a hike and impromptu photography exercise through Blacktop Mesa Trail in the Superstition Mountains. Bring a camera, digital or film.
Michael Lundgren spent his formative years in the hills of upstate New York, roaming the fields and woods behind his home. Lundgren received his MFA in photography from ASU in 2003, and has taught photography since 2004. He is coauthor of After the Ruins: Rephotographing the San Francisco Earthquake with the photographer Mark Klett. His work is included in the fine art collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and the Museet for Fotokunst in Denmark, as well numerous private collections.
Cost: $30 per person includes lunch
Please Note: Michael Lundgren’s Transfigurations is not included in the price of this hike, but will be for sale at the trail head. (Radius Books $50)
