TEMPE, AZ. – Conjuring up the spirits of John Lennon and George Harrison might feel daunting to a Beatles Tribute band unless that band is conjuring them up in a bar that is already inhabited with their own ghosts. Beatles tribute band, Ringo McLennonSon is doing just that. The band is making it’s Flagstaff debut in the daringly haunted confines of The Monte Vista Cocktail Lounge on Saturday, January 17, 2009 recreating the songs and sounds that musical icons, The Beatles, brought to The Cavern in the ‘60s and continue to make popular with audiences of today.
The Hotel Monte Vista which is the oldest and tallest hotel in Flagstaff, has hosted many famous guests such as movie legends Carol Lombard, John Wayne and Gary Cooper. Ringo McLennonSon is looking forward to making friends with the hotel’s permanent residents, The Dancing Couple who have been observed to dance across the dance floor in the lounge and maybe stir up a bit of excitement enticing the elderly ghost woman who sits in her rocker who has been featured on Unsolved Mysteries, down from her third floor window, to enjoy the show. Barstools and drinks that move on their own add to the anticipation of the debut.
Rock and rollers such as Freddy Mercury and Michael Stipe enjoyed times in the hotel and Jon Bon Jovi settled in at The Hotel Monte Vista’s Room 305, renowned for it’s haunted activity. Ringo McLennonSon, Arizona’s premier Beatles band, has become an all age crowd favorite in Arizona, bringing together Beatles fans of all ages, bridging the original Beatles generation who grew up with the mop top legends with the young fans of today. McLennonSon has performed for record breaking Arizona crowds across the state, from the Tempe Town Lake Marina Series and Earth Day Celebration to delighting 4th of July crowds in the City of Casa Grande. The band is proud to be the featured entertainment for the John Lennon Tour Bus for the last two years, was selected to play the first mile of PF Chang’s Marathon, and was featured during The City of Goodyear concert series.
McLennonSon has found a “home away from home” playing to northern Arizona fans in Prescott and Jerome and was featured on Channel 12 Arizona Midday Show in June and November and in the August edition of Monsoon Entertainment Magazine.
