Two School Districts taking Tax Credit Donations on December 31st

For those who didn’t yet have a chance to make a tax credit donation, both Kyrene Elementary School District and Tempe Union School District will open their offices on December 31st to take last minute donations. The Arizona Tax Credit Program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows Arizona taxpayers to donate up to $400* to a school of their choice in support of extracurricular programs and get their entire donation back in the form of a tax credit. Contributions must be postmarked by December 31 of the year to which you want to apply your tax credit.

School tax credit donations help pay extracurricular activity fees. Funds can apply to things like sports, arts and music programs, and most after-school student clubs.

Where to donate on December 31st:
Tempe Union School District offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. hours on Dec. 31st at 500 West Guadalupe Road, Tempe, 85283.

Kyrene School District offices will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Kyrene is located at 8700 South Kyrene Road, Tempe, 85284 on the northwest corner of Warner and Kyrene Roads.

Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary Kids Club, 777 N. Desert Breeze Blvd. Chandler 85226 and Kyrene Monte Vista Kids Club, 15221 S. Ray Road, Phoenix 85048 will take donations from 6:30 a.m. to 12 Noon only. No cash will be accepted at these locations. No other Kyrene school locations will be open as of December 18th.

* Individuals and couples filing jointly may take advantage of this tax credit. A maximum of $200 can be deducted per individual tax return, or couples filing a joint return may deduct a maximum of $400.
