Sustainable Operating Strategies Ward Off Economic Woes

Entrepreneurs will learn how to sustain and grow their business in today’s economy at the MCbiz Sustainable Operating Strategies (SOS) Workshop, which will be held on November 20th from 8:00am-12:30pm at Maricopa Workforce Connection’s West Valley Career Center (95th Avenue and McDowell Road off Loop 101 & I-10). Small businesses will discover sustainable operating strategies that can lower the cost of operations, increase productivity, and build a stronger business despite today’s challenging economy.
Prizes will be awarded such as a 3-day trip and 10 books (Breaking the Wealth Code by John Hrimnak) to be given away to the first 10 attendees that bring a guest to the workshop. Several presenters will share their expertise including John Hrimnak (www.richnowrichforlife.com).
Andrew Perona and Art Lampe, Financial Advisors/Waddell & Reed (alampe@wradvisors.com; adperona@wradvisors.com) will analyze the role of small business owners in establishing healthy spending and saving habits and maintaining them throughout a lifetime is also important for one’s well being and Financial Wellness.
Major Williams, CEO/Kukura Business Solutions (mwilliams@kukurasolutions.com) will explore outsourcing options and how to determine when and what to outsource, because in rough economic times, business owners often try to do more with less.
Nelson Mitchell, Public Relations Coordinator/Maricopa County Library District (www.mcldaz.org) presents an overview of the district’s 15 libraries and how they can be used to maximum benefit to support business goals.
Granison Shines, CEO/Shines Marketing (www.shinesmarketing.com) will demonstrate how to systematize the copywriting, marketing, and product development processes through his proven proprietary system, which can help business owners to better market products & services to create maximum sales – therefore increasing their “Bottom-Line” profitability.
Angel Orozco and Dennis Bourgeois, Senior VPs/Colonia Bank (www.coloniabankaz.com) , will assist business owners in determining how best to prep for bank financing, which is especially key now that most credit markets are experiencing some tightening.
Andres Chagolla, MCbiz Manager (www.maricopa.gov/mcbiz), will provide an overview of the County’s small business registration and certification process and how to do business with the County.
