Desert Schools Executive Honored

Ron Amstutz awarded CUES Rising 100
PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) honored rising credit union executives last week at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas.
Nine up-and-coming credit union professionals were inducted into the Credit Union Executives Society’s Rising 100 program; among them Ron Amstutz, senior vice president with Desert Schools Federal Credit Union. CUES described these executives as the next generation of credit union leadership.
CUES is a Madison, Wisconsin-based independent membership association for credit union executives worldwide. Its mission is to educate and develop credit union CEOs, directors and future leaders. The Rising 100 program was launched in 2006 with an inaugural class of 100 CUES members from a cross-section of credit union functional areas, with the exception of the CEO position.
The 2008 recipients were:

- Scott Daukas, CSE, AVP/Division Manager, TwinStar Credit Union, Olympia, Wash.
- Carlos Miramontez, VP/Lending, American First Credit Union, La Habra, Calif.
- Marshall Paepke, SVP/Human Resources, Mountain America Credit Union, West Jordan, Utah
- Jason Peach, CCUE, CFO, West Community Credit Union, O’Fallon, Mo.
- W. Carroll Scarborough, CCE, EVP/CFO, IBM Southeast Employees Federal Credit Union, Boca Raton, Fla.
