Twitterank – What is Twitterank?

November 12, 2008 · Published By Administrator

Twitter Rank from Twitterrank (dot) com takes Twitter by storm.

The number one search on the twitter search results right now is an application called Twitter rank.

My score can be found here: Twitterank

Twitterrank.com is calculating your rank on twitter using an algo that they claim is similar to Google PageRank ™ in deciding what who is most important, or active, or something like that.  There are lots of calls to be careful … the website asks for your userid and password and that could be dangerous to give out so freely.   You might want to use a throwaway password and then change it.  You can’t re-calculate your twitter ranking score more often than once every 24 hours.

My twitter ranking is shown below as 153.29 which appears to be high. It was the second highest result I saw in the ten pages of results that I checked through the tools.  Read the twitterank Frequently Asked Questions and subscribe to the twitter rank Blog if you care about future developments.

The author has very little to say so far but is providing this item below and a bit more here:

I’m setting up this blog in case anyone wants to follow future developments of Twitterank. Right now, Twitterank is spreading like a wildfire through Twitterverse, and that’s according to plan*. A lot of people seem to be asking “um, what’s the point?” The “point”, I assure you, is yet to come. Most of the interesting things can’t be done until lots of people have Twitteranks, but lots of people are indeed getting Twitteranks as we speak (about one a second, total of about 6500).

wbaustin’s twitterrank is:
