Grand Opening on November 3 to include flu shots, Humana Senior Fitness demonstration
MESA, AZ – Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), one of Arizona’s largest Medicare health benefits companies with nearly 85,000 members, is hosting a Grand Opening to celebrate its new Humana Guidance Center at 5943 East McKellips Road, Suite 106, in Mesa. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, November 3.
The Grand Opening is free and open to the public and will feature flu shots and a Humana Senior Fitness demonstration, which includes Silver & Fit, a component of the Humana Active Outlook® lifestyle program for Humana Medicare members. Humana Active Outlook guides members toward achieving personal health goals and encourages them to live a full, active life at any age. Door prizes, tours and refreshments will also be available.
The Humana Guidance Center builds on Humana’s goal of service accessibility by placing a customer advocate in areas convenient to members. The customer advocate will provide guidance and service to Humana members and prospective members who are evaluating their Medicare health plan options. The center will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and no appointment is necessary.
”The Humana Guidance Center in Mesa offers in-person assistance to people with questions about Medicare Part D prescription drug plans or Medicare Advantage health plans,” said Debbie Smith, a regional president of Senior Products for Humana and who is based in Phoenix. “The guidance centers are part of Humana’s personalized approach to Medicare and our members have provided us with feedback that they prefer service in this manner.”
The Humana Guidance Center has a conference center that will accommodate seminars and special events geared toward seniors and hosted by Humana Active Outlook. In addition, the Humana Guidance Center has a kitchen area, lobby and office space for meetings with a Humana Customer Service Representative.
The customer advocate will also help refer members to Humana customer service representatives for issues such as proof of enrollment, claims questions, benefit information, prescription prices, SmartSummaryRx, search for providers, payments and correspondence with Humana. The Humana Guidance Centers will also host orientation for new members.
