Fifth Annual Uncorked & Unplugged Benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale

(Scottsdale , AZ) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale is proud to announce its fifth annual Uncorked & Unplugged sponsored by Casino Arizona at Desert Ridge Marketplace on Sunday, October 19, 2008, starting at 6:00 p.m. Uncorked & Unplugged is a casual yet sophisticated evening under the stars celebrating the best in gourmet foods, fine wine and spirits, and live entertainment.
Uncorked & Unplugged’s Main Event is from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. New this year is an area called the Executive Club with access for Executive Badge holders featuring an exclusive platform for VIP ticket holders and skyboxes for select event sponsors. From 9:00 p.m. to midnight, the Executive Club and Malee’s Thai Bistro will serve as the site for the Post Party with more entertainment and food and beverage sampling.
Some of the Valley’s finest restaurants will be participating at Uncorked & Unplugged including: Malee’s Thai Bistro, Cholla Prime Steakhouse & Lounge, Maggiano’s, Roy’s, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Maria Maria La Cantina, Arrowhead Grill, Cantina Laredo, and many more. Featured varietals from Chalone Vineyard in Monterey County , Edna Valley Vineyards and Sterling Vintner’s Collection will tempt any wine connoisseur’s palate. Attendees will also be able to sample a variety of premium spirits as well as domestic and imported beers from Hensley.
The event features three entertainment stages with a variety of performers to fit just about any musical taste. Rock Lobster, the ’80s cover band will play on one event stage while Big Mamma & White Bread, a local group that performs R&B, classic soul and funk will provide the evening’s entertainment in the Executive Club. Lastly, Uncorked & Unplugged will include the popular musical tribute act from Casino Arizona – Showstoppers Live!
Complimentary cab rides home will be available for all attendees starting at 8 pm until after the conclusion of the Post Party at midnight at all event exits. The “Safe Ride Home” service is sponsored by Scottsdale Insurance Company and Hensley.

Since its inception in 2004, attendance at Uncorked & Unplugged has grown to 3,000 guests. By attending Uncorked & Unplugged, guests help insure that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale can continue to provide a place for kids to power their potential and ensure members have a safe, productive and supervised place to go and grow during the hours when school is not in session.
