Rowers to Compete in Tempe’s Hot Head Regatta

Annual race on Tempe Town Lake invites spectators

TEMPE, Ariz. – Tempe Town Lake will host the 7th annual Hot Head Regatta on Saturday, Oct. 11, when crews from all over the country come to Tempe to compete in boat races and enjoy the beautiful fall weather on the lake.

Races run from 7 a.m. to noon, with a variety of competitions for all levels of expertise. The regatta is sponsored by the Tempe Rowers Association and the city of Tempe.

More than 350 participants are expected at this year’s event. Spectators are welcome and can view the races from the north side of the lake, or can join the center of the action at the Tempe Town Lake Marina.  Snacks and regatta shirts will be sold to benefit rowing on Tempe Town Lake.
