Tempe Old Settlers Association holds annual gathering

Tempe, Arizona – For the past 100 years, Tempe residents have gathered for an annual reunion to socialize, talk about life in the city and share memories.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Tempe Old Settlers Association will hold a Centennial Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arizona Community Church Social Hall, 9325 S. Rural Rd., in Tempe. Old Settlers members must have been born in Tempe or have lived in the city for at least 30 years. There are an estimated 600 current members.

Members typically come from all over the Valley for this annual event, which will include socializing, a potluck lunch, entertainment, election of association officers and exchanges of stories.
