Ace Hardware Hosts Safety Event in Observance of National Fire Prevention Week

The first 150 people receive free smoke detectors from Ace Hardware

Litchfield Park, Ariz. – The second week of October (October 5 – 11) marks National Fire Prevention Week, and Ace Hardware of Litchfield Park will host a safety awareness event in conjunction with the Rural/Metro Fire Department.

The first 150 people at the event will receive a FREE smoke detector from Ace Hardware. In addition to fire safety, the Maricopa County Public Health Department will offer car seat inspections and the Rural/Metro Fire Department will raffle off car booster seats. The Rural/Metro Fire Department also will offer free blood pressure checks.

WHAT: Ace Hardware, Rural/Metro Fire Department and the Maricopa County Public Health Department observe National Fire Prevention Week with public safety event.

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, 10 a.m. – noon.
