Tim Hatlestad, CCIM, of Scottsdale Honored With Endowed Scholarship

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Tim Hatlestad, CCIM, president of RE/MAX Commercial Investment of Scottsdale, was honored with an endowed scholarship through the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute for ongoing service and dedication to the commercial real estate and investment industry.
The endowed scholarship program was created to honor Hatlestad for his contributions to the Central Arizona CCIM Chapter and to real estate in Arizona. He earned the Vision Award in 2000 from the Arizona Association of Realtors®, and he was named 2001 Realtor® of the Year by the Scottsdale Association of Realtors®. He was 2005 president of the Arizona Association of Realtors® and 1999 president of the Scottsdale Association of Realtors®.
Hatlestad is the 2008 CCIM Institute national President. He has served CCIM Institute on many volunteer committees, including the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Currently he serves as a CCIM senior instructor, and he has been an instructor, trainer and presenter at numerous industry functions.
Under the program, the annual Hatlestad scholarship recipient will be awarded the full tuition cost for the CCIM Institute CI-102 Market Analysis, CI-103 User Decision Analysis or CI-104 Investment Analysis course. All three are required to earn the CCIM Designation.
The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout North America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.
Since its formation in 2005, 28 endowed scholarships have been established through the Education Foundation. The mission of the Education Foundation is to advance and support educational and research related to commercial real estate.
The CCIM Institute confers the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation to commercial real estate professionals through an extensive curriculum of 200 classroom hours, in addition to industry experience. There are 9,500 CCIMs in 1,000 markets worldwide. An additional 9,500 practitioners are pursuing the designation.
