2nd annual Kokopelli Bluegrass Festival September 19-21, 2008
August 25, 2008 · Published By Editor
Everyone had so much fun last September at the Bluegrass Festival that Kokopelli’s decided to make this an annual event. Returning again this year will be the Backporch Bandits, a local Arizona Bluegrass Band, along with some other fun performers. Live music will be Friday night 6:30 to 9:30 pm; and all day Saturday from noon to 9:30 pm.
Back by popular demand will be “Roasted Roadkill” – one of the favorite menu items by far! (If you aren’t that adventurous, we’ll have lots of other foods from the home of Bluegrass — Hot Brown Sandwiches from the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, and “Low Country” dishes from the Carolina’s. How about some Jack Daniels Baked Beans, Fried Catfish, and “Hog” Wings.)
Don’t forget to wear your best Camo’s – we’ll have an “Elmer Fudd” costume contest on Saturday at 2:30 pm. And we’ll have some fun games like wine cork target practice and “husband calling” – like hog calling but the woman calling her husband with the loudest or most unique call wins! There will be great prizes and tons of fun!!
Cost: Wine Tasting is $7 per person (in honor of our 7th anniversary), includes a souvenir wine glass, $2 off coupon and 6 tasting tickets. No charge for non-drinkers or children.
