SRP Announces Board Appointments
August 22, 2008 · Published By Editor
Karen Fisch, Salt River Project manager of Community Outreach, has been named to two non-profit boards. Fisch will serve on the Arizona Business Education Coalition, an alliance of business and education leaders from across the state focused on the success of the K-12 education system in Arizona. Fisch also was named to the Arizona Theatre Company, which has offered award-winning performances in Phoenix and Tucson to a combined audience of more than 150,000 since 1983.
In other SRP news, David M. Hall has been appointed to the Valley of the Sun United Way board. Hall is a Principal Engineer in SRP’s Electrical System Planning and Engineering.
More than 85 percent of the SRP’s 4,300 employees impacted their communities through volunteer efforts and charitable giving, many of whom volunteer an average of 3.3 hours per week – which translates into thousands of dollars worth of labor in service to the community.
SRP is the third-largest public power utility in the nation serving more than 935,000 electric customers in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and is the largest provider of water to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area delivering about 1 million acre-feet of water.
