Signs of the Times: Virgo 2008

With the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon on August 16th at 24 degrees of Aquarius we are done with these phenomena until next year. It is interesting to note that the Lunar Eclipse conjuncted the Moon Sign of the United States Natal Chart and we know where we are as a nation, particularly with our dire overspending habits as individuals and as a country. Every time I think of the cost of the Iraq War I could set myself on fire in protest, but instead I think I will vote for someone who can get us out of the war pdq.

There is a New Moon at 7 degrees of Virgo on August 30th which means that all earth and water signs will have new beginnings in some areas of their lives-but for all of us it does conjunct Saturn at 10 degrees of Virgo. Saturn means delays or at best, a lot of hard work in order to make things better.

There is a Harvest Full Moon at 22 degrees of Pisces on September 15th, which again affects all Earth and Water Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn and Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

I decided to give each of us a head’s up about the Mercury Retrograde at 22 degrees of Libra on September 24th. Forewarned can be forearmed-make plans to do the things you need to do before this three-week long planetary rub can delay or cause problems in your affairs, particularly with legal contracts, beginning new projects, taking on a new job or even snafus with travel plans.

Late August and most of September is the Virgo cycle-work, being a bit more analytical and cautious of what moves we are going to make-look more closely at what your vivid imagination is telling you to do-distinguish between the voice of intuition and wishful thinking.
