Learn about hydrogen as a transportation fuel and talk to the people who are working on the vehicles and fuel of the future.
Passenger vehicles and transit buses powered by hydrogen will help promote America’s energy independence, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve air quality while preserving safety and U.S. jobs. In cooperation with other Federal partners, The U.S. Department of Transportation is working to ensure that hydrogen transportation technologies are: (1) safe; (2) helping define design standards for future hydrogen vehicles and infrastructure; (3) accelerate technology transfer; and, (4) increase public understanding of hydrogen-powered transportation.
The Hydrogen Tour – consisting of 11 hydrogen-powered vehicles from major automakers, including BMW, GM, Honda, Toyota and others – will be at the Gateway Community College, 108 North 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008 from 8:00-11:00am, August 22, 2008.
