Fans Can Enjoy Needle Arts During D-backs Aug. 24 Game Versus Marlins

(PHOENIX) – Fans of baseball and needle arts can knit, crochet, and more with fellow enthusiasts when the Arizona Diamondbacks and the National NeedleArts Association host the third annual Stitch N’ Pitch event during the 1:10 p.m. Aug. 24 game versus the Florida Marlins.

For $15, fans will receive an infield reserve ticket and a commemorative Stitch N’ Pitch T-shirt. Participants can also visit the Stitch N’ Pitch expo in the upper right field concourse area, which will feature needle arts experts offering products and teaching techniques.

The D-backs will donate $1 from every ticket purchased to the NeedleArts Mentoring Program (NAMP). A project of the Helping Hands Foundation, NAMP’s goal is to create community partnerships that promote and encourage relationships between adults and youth, fostering curiosity, creativity and a feeling of achievement through the teaching of needle arts.

Tickets are available online at dbacks.com/stitchnpitch (promo code: stitch), by calling 602.514.8400 or by visiting participating local needle arts stores, including Tempe Yarn and Fiber, Purls, Fiber Factory, Cotton Field’s Quilt and Knit, Kiwi Knitting Company, Phoenix Knits, and Attic Needlework.
