MCACC shelters overflowing with cats
August 3, 2008 · Published By Editor
(Phoenix) – Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) is being overrun with cats. Right now, there are more than 200 of these fluffy fur-balls at MCACC’s Animal Care Centers. The two large cat rooms at the West Valley Animal Care Center have more than 10 kitties in each room.
A crowded space can lead to sick cats. MCACC does not want that to happen, so we are asking anyone interested in adopting a new furry friend to come out and do so now. We are continuing to offer our summer cat special of all cats over 6 months for $25. And now, all kittens are $50. The price includes spay/neuter surgery and a rabies vaccination and is good through the end of August.
Cats have so much love to offer. They make great pets for families and single people. They can take care of themselves, but love a good snuggle and some play time. So hurry in today and add a new member to your household. For more information on MCACC, visit www.pets.maricopa.gov or call (602) 506-7387.
