Donate Your Car to YMCA; Proceeds Benefit Strong Kids Campaign
July 20, 2008 · Published By Editor
Help kids stay fit through swim programs and fitness camps by donating your vehicle to the Valley of the Sun YMCA.
The community will benefit from your donated vehicle. For information, call 866-500-YMCA (9622).
Proceeds benefit the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign, helping to build not only strong kids through fitness and leadership programs, but to instill the values of respect, caring, responsibility and honesty in the lives of Valley families.
If you choose to help your community, the vehicle will be picked up at no cost, no matter the condition of the car, truck, boat, RV, golf cart or other vehicle. Additionally, full tax deductions will be honored and the YMCA will complete all IRS and title deductions.
Your donated vehicle will help fund many YMCA programs:
● Over 8,000 teens will have the opportunity to participate in YMCA teen programs like YMCA Achievers, and will stay in a safe environment after school in one of the YMCA’s teen technology centers.
● The YMCA’s i-Learn Arizona High School Drop-out Recovery Program will give more than 200 students the opportunity to earn credits toward their high school diploma.
● The Evening Reporting Center-Excellence in Reaching the Community is an alternative to juvenile detention. The program will help 80 young men build structured life and leadership skills like setting goals.
● Over 760 kids will attend the YMCA overnight camp at Chauncey Ranch and Sky-Y.
● Thousands of kids will get active and healthy at the YMCA through our youth fitness programs.
● Over 1,000 families will have the opportunity to participate in our free YMCA Prepare to S.W.I.M. program where they can learn CPR and take Water Safety classes.
● Last year, over 13,000 kids, families and adults received financial assistance to participate in YMCA programs: membership, child care, day camp, swim lessons, camps, youth sports and teen programs.
