CRES Appraisal Services Announces Major Expansion

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – CRES Appraisal Services, LLC, a commercial real estate appraisal firm, has announced a major personnel expansion.

Five commercial real estate appraisers formerly of Colliers International Appraisal Group in Phoenix have joined CRES Appraisal Services. They have joined Dan Paulus, MAI, who is founder and president of CRES Appraisal Services. Paulus was the former president of Colliers’ North American appraisal operation.

Newly arriving at CRES Appraisal Services are Dennis Farr, MAI, Arizona managing director; David B. Sakas, senior appraiser/consultant; Katie Zeibig, appraisal analyst; Kimberly Ryan, appraisal analyst; and Ken Schonauer, appraisal analyst.

Paulus, Farr and Sakas have worked together in commercial real estate appraisal for more than 22 years, and together they are the core team at CRES Appraisal Services. “Having this professional team together once again will create a tremendous competitive advantage for CRES Appraisal Services and our clients,” said Farr.

According to Paulus, the expansion is aimed at increasing CRES Appraisal Services’ presence in the Southwest. Long-range plans are to provide regional coverage in key locations throughout the southwestern United States and to co-locate with Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate brokerage as they have in Scottsdale, Ariz. They currently have offices in Arizona with plans for expansion into Nevada and Southern California. “Our relationship with the commercial brokerage operation at Prudential CRES creates a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team approach to client service that benefits clients with up-to-date market knowledge and an efficient appraisal report turnaround speed,” said Paulus.

The company is known for its specialty team approach to appraising. Paulus cites non-performing bank assets as one field that has been a company focus. Clients with non-performing assets often require an additional level of consultative care. CRES Appraisal has seasoned appraisers who are experienced working with other professionals such as attorneys, bankers and CPAs. CRES Appraisal Services specializes in healthcare, legal and banking clients, and provides forensic appraisal, work-out consultation and litigation expert witness testimony. The company provides valuation in all traditional asset categories of land, office, industrial, retail, and multi-family housing.
