After six weeks of intense, hands-on training in video game development, Arizona high school students participating in the CampGame summer program offered by ASU’s Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering want you to experience the awesome games they’ve created.
WHEN: Friday, July 18, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The public is invited to play the students’ video games from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. CampGame graduates will present final projects until 6 p.m., followed by the CampGame awards ceremony and reception.
WHERE: ASU SkySong, 1475 N. Scottsdale Rd. (southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and McDowell Road), Room 195
Under the instruction of Ashish Amresh, a lecturer in the School of Computing and Informatics, 15 students from Arizona high schools have been working with ASU’s cutting-edge technology to immerse themselves in video game design and the fundamentals of the game industry, learning to develop concepts and prototypes for new games.
CampGame is a part of the engineering school’s support of a national education effort to interest young students in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
