Daughters of Fission bring rock to a new level by bringing the rhythm to the front of every stage

July 1, 2008 · By Editor

Phoenix, AZ- Daughters of Fission has found a new way to please the delicate palette of rock and roll. Their originality sparks creative notes, by adding keyboards to the band, and keeps them away from conformity by taking rock to a new form of edge.

Daughters of Fission have risen from the ground with Jason Prichard (drums/lead vocals), John Banks (guitar/backing vocals), Christopher Coons (bass/backing vocals), and Stephanie Dilk (keyboards). With their new and evolving sound Jason leads the band by bringing the drums to the front stage and his vocals along with them, starting a new and exciting way of performing live.

Their unique sound featured on their new album, entitled M.O.T.H.  M.O.T.H. is the follow up to Daughters of Fission’s 2005 release entitled Abandonatomy, an album which garnered radio play on the Edge 103.9, Headcase Radio, and the Podsafe Network, and a deal with BMG/FirstCom which licensed Abandonatomy songs for film, TV, and radio, The band was also featured by New Times Music Showcase in 2006.

After touring southern California and Arizona the band once again worked with ubiquitous local engineer, Larry Elyea (Bionic Jive, 32 Leaves), at his Mind’s Eye Digital Recording Studio and enlisted guest musicians Shea  Marshall (The Energy Trio, Attack of the Giant Squid) and Chris Peeler (Fred Green) to Create M.O.T.H.  In 2008 the Phoenix Music Awards nominated Daughters of Fission for “Rock Single of the Year” and “Best in Production and Engineering” for “The Sea” their first single from “M.O.T.H.”

The new album is available to the public on iTunes and CDBaby.com. Daughters of Fission will soon be embarking on a mini tour through Arizona.
