Kosher Homemade Honey Cakes Available for Rosh Hashanah

June 30, 2008 · By Editor

Chandler, AZ -  The Sisterhood of Temple Beth Sholom of the East Valley is once again offering kosher home made honey cakes for Rosh Hashanah.  The cakes, baked by Sisterhood Member Gloria Windmiller in the certified kosher kitchen at Temple Beth Sholom of the East Valley in Chandler, are available by special order, and can be picked up at the temple no later that September 26, 2008.  The temple is located at 3400 N. Dobson Road in Chandler, between Guadalupe and Elliot.

“Gloria’s honey cakes are renowned around the East Valley!” says Linda Radke, a long-time customer.  “They are delicious, and fresh, and kosher!  It’s wonderful to have them available when you don’t have time to bake your own.  And they beat anything you can buy in a store!”

The cakes are 9-inch rounds, following the tradition of closing the cycle of one year and starting a new one.  Regular cakes are $7.00 each with optional add-ins of nuts and/or raisins, costing an additional $1.00 each.  To place your order, send a check to TBS-EV Sisterhood, 3400 N. Dobson Rd., Chandler, AZ  85224.  Include a clearly written note describing how many cakes and what add-ins you would like, as well as your phone number and email address.  Orders must be received no later than Sept. 19, 2008, and will be available for pick-up at the temple between Sept. 22-26.  Call for pick-up information.
