Tired of posting your resume with dozens or even hundreds of on-line human resource departments and job search venues and never hearing anything back? Join panelists who have done the same thing and finally developed creative ways to find the jobs they now have. This Boomerz job search success stories event will be held Tuesday, June 24th from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at New Vision Education Building, 9659 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale. (SE corner of Mountain View and Hayden, SE corner of the complex)  Boomerz members:  Free; Non-members $15.

Panelists:
Jeffrey Williams is a diversified small business specialist, now working for a major real-estate management company in Arizona.  He most recently was President and co-founder of Liftseat Corporation, a medical equipment start-up company.  Prior to this time, he was President of Belmont Enterprises a leading manufacturer’s representative company specializing in Hardware and Industrial products in the Southwest; President of James, Graning &Weaver; Acting President for Sweeney Enterprises, a manufacturer of automated feeding systems for aquaculture and farm/ranch use. He has been a consultant with Pharmacia Diagnostics (now Phadia); Stanbio Laboratory, a medical diagnostics company; and DynaTouch, a custom technology company that was sold to the DOD.

Gregg Housey has had 30 years of experience as president of ERP Productions in Michigan, writing, producing and directing programs, commercials, documentaries, music videos and infomercials for broadcast TV, cable, satellite and corporate networks. Gregg also instructs classes in Advanced Television Production and High Definition.  After moving to Cave Creek 2 years ago (and flunking Retirement, 101), Housey began teaching Cinematography at Scottsdale Community College and eventually developed an Internet television station which offers streaming videos with short, up-to-date reports on local topics such as dining, lodging, events, shopping, news and night life for communities around the State.

Cindy Cooke has spent most of her career bringing entrepreneural concepts to non-profit enterprises. She was Executive Director of the World Affairs Council in Ventura County California for 11 years before moving to Arizona to be closer to family 8 years ago. In Arizona she completed a book and taught for the Maricopa Community College District prior to becoming Director of Boomerz.  Formerly, she was Program Director at the University
of Southern California and Program Coordinator at Pima Community College.  In addition she owned her own company, producing Certifited Financial Planning Prep courses throughout the United States. 

Moderator: 
Frank Helton is a corporate educator and founder of the concept of Behavioral Economies. Currently co-author of How to Be the Boss You Always Wanted to Work For (And the Leader You Always Wanted to Follow).  Formerly, he was President, Acumen Resource Training and Consulting; Education Coordinator, U.S Army District Recruiting Command Employee Assistance Professional for a major high tech company; Account Manager for an international publishing company International speaker and seminar leader

After-panel discussion and consultants:
Brad Taft, MBA, CMF, is President of Taft Resource Group, a career management consulting firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also co-founder of AgelessInAmerica, a workforce development consulting firm. He is co-author of Boom or Bust!: New Career Strategies in a New America – The Career Management Guide for Baby Boomers and Beyond (Cambridge Media, LLC; 2006), and writes and speaks on a variety of employment issues. Brad is a member of the Leaders Circle of the American Society on Aging’s Business Forum on Aging, a group of business and thought leaders dedicated to understanding how an aging population impacts business trends.

Martha Rockwell, certified professional resume writer (CPRW), licensed career counselor and owner A+ Resumes & Career Coaching  received the majority of her training as a consultant with Drake Beam Morin (DBM), a career transition company with offices worldwide. Martha is certified by the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches, (PARWCC). She is also a member of Resume Writer’s Council of Arizona, (RWCA), National Resume Writers Association, (NRWA) and the American Business Women’s Association, (ABWA).
